Xtrinet is licensed by the Office of Utilities Regulation (OUR) to own and operate telecommunications infrastructure and to operate as a telecommunications service provider. The company also holds telecommunications licences covering Carrier, Domestic Voice and Internet Services, providing the regulatory foundation for its operations as an ICT and telecommunications company.

Xtrinet provides both wholesale and retail broadband Internet services, including Dedicated Internet Access and other connectivity solutions for Government, enterprise, commercial and residential customers.

Our broadband services are delivered using a combination of fibre-optic and broadband fixed-wireless infrastructure. This hybrid approach enables Xtrinet to select the appropriate transport technology according to customer requirements, geography, network availability and service objectives.

Xtrinet has deployed fibre infrastructure to connect a number of its principal network hub sites and to provide direct connectivity to corporate customers. This fibre infrastructure forms an important part of the company's broadband transport network and complements its extensive fixed-wireless capabilities.

Xtrinet operates tower and distribution sites supporting the delivery of broadband fixed-wireless services to customers in communities across Jamaica. The continued development of new network sites, fibre routes and antenna infrastructure forms part of the company's ongoing programme to expand the availability and reach of its high-speed Internet services.

Our network infrastructure is deployed using structures appropriate to the surrounding environment, including hilltop sites, telecommunications towers, rooftops and street-pole installations.

Network equipment may be powered from the national electricity grid or through renewable-energy systems, including solar power, with hybrid arrangements used where appropriate to improve service resilience.

Xtrinet's infrastructure development also incorporates both underground and aerial fibre-optic deployment. Underground installations may utilize ducts and manholes where required, while overhead fibre infrastructure may be deployed where appropriate to the network design and local environment.

An important part of Xtrinet's development strategy is expanding broadband availability in rural, suburban, inner-city and other underserved communities.

We recognize that reliable Internet access is more than a communications service. Broadband connectivity can support education, healthcare, entrepreneurship and employment while improving access to information, public services and opportunities for greater civic and community participation.

Through the continued construction of network sites, expansion of fibre and wireless infrastructure, installation of customer-premises equipment and delivery of broadband capacity, Xtrinet is working to extend reliable connectivity to more Jamaican communities.
